The Local Coordination Committee meeting of the Phewa Lake Awareness and Capacity Building project was held on Feb. 8, 2007 in the hall of Pokhara Sub-metropolitan City Office under the chairmanship of Acting Executive Officer Mr. Krishna Prasad Koirala. The Chairman of Local Environment Improvement Committees attended the meeting, Representative from NGO federation, Representative from District Agriculture Office, Kaski and Representative from District Soil Conservation Office.

During the meeting, each Local Environment Improvement Committee presented the work done in their respective wards. All participants stressed the need to continue the project activities after the termination of the project. Also, all Local Environment Improvement Committee was requested to submit articles related to the conservation of Phewa Lake for the publication of Journal.
