Phewa Batawaran Sudhar Samittee of ward no. 6 built an Iron net two years ago in Seti Canal. The purpose of the Iron net (shown in the picture) was to stop the solid waste materials flowing in the canal.

Over the two years period, huge quantity of solid waste (shown in the picture) ranging from plastics, cloths to wood were stockpiled under the bridge.
Last week, the Phewa Environment Improvement Committee took out the solid waste deposited due to the Iron net. They have also built iron net over the Seti canal flowing through their ward as show in the picture. In the effort to cover Seti canal flowing from ward no. 1 to 6, Local Environment Improvement Committees have built concrete slab and in some places they have used net. This will protect people from throwing solid waste into the Seti canal.
Also, the Phewa Environment Improvement Committee took out remaining grasses and solid waste around the Lake Shore of Phewa Lake from Barahii Temple to Gairako Chautara as show in the picture.
